The Life is Succulent Project

Thoughts & Vibes

Sometimes energy can be a strange thing, hard to decipher what is helpful or harmful. Succulents can be fierce, potent plants that help remove toxins from the air and seem to survive nearly anything. However, succulents and I have not quite figured out our flow yet. It’s a work in progress. Hopefully, my thumb will get a little greener in the journey of this project. As fierce and unconditional as they seem, they also can be delicate! Lots of light, enough space to wiggle, and a tender touch help these plants thrive to live their best life! We too are like this. Just when we think we are in a good flow and feeling fierce, we can be reminded of how life is a delicate process that requires us to garden our way through it mindfully. As resilient as we may seem at times, thoughtful conditions help us live our best lives!

What is it you would like to do more of today, this week, this month to make Life a little more Succulent (enjoyable + sustainable)?

We may not have it all figured out. We are not meant to. Goals matter. Our presence in the process matters more. That process starts with a breath, a motion, and moment by moment it flows. Sometimes, taking shape in obvious ways. Sometimes, unseen, but creating movements that drain or nourish the conditions and connections. It is up to us to be the co-creators and gardeners of this process.

Succulents thrive with an abundance of light. We too have more of a glow and a nature to rise when we feel that sunshine (literally and metaphorically). We all know life is not just a flow of light. There is darkness. We may not “thrive” in those times. This is when we need the most support of presence, patience, connection, compassion, & community. However, it can be a time where we find ourselves experiencing more disconnection, confusion, and unhealthy human behaviors. There are many layers to such a topic. This may not apply to all circumstances, but it could be a process to help in some way:

Kicking off the Project

Quick Look at Essential Things to Know:

  1. Hi, I am Lisa Horoszewski, the creator of Rootin’ for your Life and host of this project. It is my goal to help us to discover and develop how to write our story into everything we do, moment by moment, day by day. Featured creators will be popping in to share their offerings as well. (More on that in the collab section below)!

  2. What is the Life is Succulent Project? It is a fun way / theme in which we share insights and resources for creating a sustainable living. Life is succulent focuses on art therapy, clean beauty, mantras, true green living, & self-care. Life can be demanding and chaotic. It is important to have support and resources to help assess and garden all the ways in which we are using, exchanging, and digesting energy each day. Everything we breathe, think, eat, and do is a transaction and relationship of energy. Is it sustainable? The answer to this question can be difficult. We are life in motion, changing through the phases, seasons, and cycles. The intention of this project is to offer and help establish some root essentials to not only create a more sustainable life, but to help nurture your art of living. What moments bring you the most joy? Let’s plant more of that or go on a journey to discover your authentic rhythm of life!! Let’s work on the energy sources that have become draining or disconnected. How? When? This project will be launching throughout Feb 2023 starting with the vision story feature and be an ongoing journey of insights and offerings.

  3. This is a FREE project!! My goal is to keep as much content as possible accessible and affordable! In full transparency, it is not easy to make that happen. Your considerations help us (myself & guests) continue to offer as many resources and opportunities as we can. There are many ways you can help support the flow. This helps us cover the costs of our services (time, expenses in the materials/software we use to create, educated/certified guidance, etc). It is our goal to keep working towards building an empowered community where we can create space for one another to receive, share, and create the resources and moments to Root, Love, Grow™ a little more each day.

You can also shop our Crunchi, clean beauty website: (Learn more about these products / our goals & purpose with these initiatives below). Note: When shopping through Crunchi, this is mostly in support of their products and company, but as advocates Courtney and I do receive commissions. I discovered Crunchi through Courtney and dedicated a year to gradually exploring the products. I believe in ensuring my experiences and understanding before I invest and promote something. As clean, sustainable, cruelty-free products are very important to me and have long been a part of my conscious wellness journey of healing and creating a better life flow, I was happy to align with this company. “Do more with less” is an unfortunate phrase in regard to many environments and is often not a sustainable practice, but this is a good thing when it comes to our products. We do not need all the products we think we do that are pushed in our consumer lifestyles. Creating a life from the essentials with a few essential ingredients is a practice for nurturing more moments and a greater quality of life. Such products might have a higher price tag but can serve multiple purposes and enrich your state of being. Sustainable living is a gradual journey of investing in products and pathways. It is about becoming a more conscious consumer to cut out what is not needed, get rid of excess, and create space for what can nurture your flow in the ways you can.
