Can you really bring things to reality through willpower and manifesting your vibes? Can you really sense others’ vibes or energy? Can you connect with the energy around you? Can you raise your vibes through the power of meditation and thought? Yes, all of these things are possible through the power of perception, belief, and energy work. You may have religious, scientific, or spiritual beliefs that further define your beliefs and methods, but the root of it is about doing the work to co-create your life. It is always a work in progress, but the most important element is the full presence and commitment to the journey. Today, is a good day for these thoughts with the rare alignment of the date. Here is a quick look at the Root & Flow Process to soul-work:

Like anything a big part of meal prep is mental effort and energy. Therefore, it is important to establish your intentions before trying to establish your routine. What are your reasons for evaluating your nutrition plan or trying to do better at meal prep; ethical, health, or convenience? Do you want to meal prep to try to make life a little easier, to address health issues and goals, to try to become more mindful of the impact the food has on your body and the body of the Earth, or all of those reasons? Honestly, all of these are good priorities and are 100% possible to achieve. Let’s look at the steps we will take to start this journey through the Root & Flow Method:

Devin & I are so excited to have a baby on the way!!!!! ✨A few days ago, I turned 32years old🌞 & 15 weeks pregnant!!😸 It's been a long journey of healing Crohn's Disease, endometriosis, the Sacral Chakra, & picking up the pieces of our life to get to this point, and no matter how dark it got, pieces of us kept believing this would one day be possible. There were days when it didn't, days when we could barely see pass the heart-ache & the fog of the moment, but deep down the spark of life was always there, but it took a lot of self-care, a lot of soul-work, & a lot of twin flame / soul-mate energy work to restore & elevate the flow of life. No matter how much natural attunement one has to energy or one another, there is always work to be done, because we all have wounds to heal, things we stand for, things we are not willing to stand for, things we are trying to better understand, things we are trying to be present for in the flow of synchronicity, & things we are trying to manifest. Working through, revising, creating, and sharing all those vibes together can be a journey, but one that has unfolded as it was all meant to be. I have always been an extroverted social butterfly, but when it comes to my private life I've always been extremely protective & introverted since my earliest days on this Earth. From a lot of stored trauma, I never thought I would be comfortable enough in my own skin to share my life with someone. Devin too had this mindset & walked a similar path; thankfully we found each other on that path & 17 years later, finally bringing the little one of our dreams to life! ✨🍃🌻 Our little Leo sunflower baby due July 29, which is also a symbolic time of synchronicity for us. We will be sharing more about our healing rituals & present journey in the Seeds of our Soul Blog! ✨

With Core Care we talk a lot about Being your Own Advocate, writing your story, embracing it, and sharing it when you are ready. I truly believe in the age old quote “ you have to love yourself before you truly understand how to share that love”. In many of our life relationships and dynamics we are having to figure it out as we go, but sometimes in every relationship you have to slow it down and take a few steps back to do the root work before powering through full speed ahead, because forcing such a flow often leads to a crash and burn that results in more pieces to figure out and pick up. It’s okay to say to yourself or to your relationships, “this is not working”. We have often been made to think such a thing means admitting failure or giving up, but it is quite the opposite. It is being vulnerable which requires the upmost strength. It is investing in what matters to you by prioritizing a quality and conscious effort. What matters is how you do the work to resolve the issues that are not working. We have often been made to believe sometimes we should “just let it go”, “get over it”, “it’'ll work itself out”, “it’ll pass soon”, etc. However, that is rarely the case and even when we try to do those things then we often have to depend on other coping mechanisms to get us through it, often unhealthy sources, or it comes out in unintentional and unconscious ways.

Aging impacts us all differently. Some of us try to fight it, while others embrace it, but on either side of the coin; aging is still the reality and is not easy. I chose Chewy for this pic, because she will soon be turning 12 years old (which is getting up there for a cat, especially since she was diagnosed with Cancer 2 years ago and was only expected to live another few months then). She just has one of those spirits that doesn’t let age and struggle get her down. She is miss personality that still tries to put her best paw forward. She lives life on her terms.

Aging should never be greeted with shame. Embrace it! Don’t let it define you, don’t let it stop you from pursuing your dreams, but don’t try to turn back time. Your wrinkles and achy bones tell a story; your story.

Some Advice from Chewy:

-Get lots of good sleep!

-Drink lots of water!

-Exercise! She still likes to fetch her rubber-bands and chase after her bells (or our other cat, Criton) every day.

-Cuddle with the ones you love!

-Don’t hold back from sharing your truth (Chewy is very vocal and has many facial expressions to let you know how she feels)!

Chewy from the #dollypartonchallenge lol:

Leos love rich and luxurious flavors and colors. Warm and bright autumn like colors; crimson, orange, and yellow fit a Leo’s soul. Leos love romance and love to be wined and dined. A red wine, a pasta or spicy dish, and a decadent dessert or chocolate is a meal most Leos would love. However, Leos are also ruled by the Third Eye Chakra and need to follow some of the suggestions in the chart below to help balance their wellness:

✨✨For a little #arttherapy & #fullmoon #reflections feel free to screenshot this pic, crop, print, color , & share. Please tag us & share your vibes with us!!!! 🌻✨ Leo ♌ Full Moon ✨✨ !! You may hear a lot around full moons about manifesting your life force, but the practices of manifesting are different for everyone. There is no one way to manifest your life flow, just like there is no one way to color this picture. You must find your flow & co-create your life in the moment based on your vibes. When coloring, you may not always know how you want things to look until you're in the journey of it. Piece by piece it comes to life! Lions (Leos) can be fierce, but they can also be gentle. Therefore, believe in yourself with all your might, but also be gentle with yourself. When you accept your whole self, even in the most difficult moments, is when your light will shine. Piece by piece it will come to light! 🌞✨ Roots of Love, Lisa 🍃

Thoughts from our Reiki Workshop!

Book the full 1 week Reiki Workshop: Here

Thought for the day: Energy is felt from our intentions and gestures. Whether it is cuddles, gifts, thoughtful vibes in communications, being by one another’s side, etc. sharing our positive energy is healing. Feeling loved and cared for is a powerful thing, whether through self-care, loved ones, significant other, friends, or pet; Love heals!! You are probably already accessing Reiki concepts without even knowing it through the power of energy connections.

Reiki with the elements!! Energy is in everything (like we always talk about!!!) Fire, water, air, and Earth are our ruling elements of spiritual energy. Today, connect with these elements and reflect on how your energy feels when you interact with each. It is also valentine’s, so you may want to explore these elements and the power of touch/reiki healing with a significant other. However, valentine’s is not the only day we should #manifestlove. Love should be an every day feature, whether it is a love for self, others, or life in general. Love requires work, but something we should work to manifest everyday through the power of our mind, body, and spirit!! Energy flows into everything we touch. Therefore, we should always be mindful of our energy. When cooking, it is often said: “the main ingredient is love”. Meals made from love are the best!!! Cooking is a great way to connect to the elements (even if it is as simple as something as making smores!)

Thought for the day: The connection between Reiki and Crystals

(The Basics)

Reiki is the act of connecting with and transferring energy. Reiki energy is stored in our world within and all around. Rocks and crystals formed in the Earth hold properties of energy within them. These properties depend on the elements of their surroundings. Therefore, understanding crystals is a great way to channel Reiki energy with intention and purpose. These can be tools for focusing and transferring energy. (Metaphysical / Holistic / Ethical) Jewelry makers and crystal healers often use Reiki practices to connect with the energy in their items. They use Reiki to help the items be crafted, curated, and delivered through mindful vibes. Reiki practitioners often use crystals as well as tools to help focus or connect with energy.

Picture_20200210_124449966.jpg

Reiki energy flows all around. Connect with different items outdoors; rocks, leaves, trees, etc. What do you notice? How does it feel? How does it make you feel? Hold the items or gently place your hands on them with your eyes clothes. Don’t try to control your thoughts, just be still. What thoughts or vibes come to you? If random thoughts pop in your head, maybe these thoughts were meant to be. If you feel it is not, release the thought, empty your mind, open the door in your mind to your energy, and try again. Sometimes, when I first empty my mind to try to focus my energy, thoughts of things I need to do or were focusing on early or silly, random things keep racing through. When I feel it is my mind just wandering, I visualize myself in my brain with a broom, sweeping everything out my “mental door”. I then picture an empty space of green grass and me sitting against a tree. I ask whatever energy element I am connecting with to guide me to what it is I need to see or know. Sometimes, it is something abstract that I have to translate. Sometimes, it is a clear visual or message. Sometimes, it is just a feeling, a vibe of restored energy, peace, confidence, etc.

Pisces season starts in 2 days. Pisces is a water sign ruled by the Sacral Chakra, which is also ruled by water. Sacral wellness is associated with our inner-power of creativity. There are many ways in which we create life; reproduction, art, talents, etc. The ways in which we apply our-self to creating our life flow, comes from our center of Sacral energy; a deep, instinctual, sub-conscious layer of being. This energy often has us focusing on our path and purposes. When we feel our energy is cluttered or stressed, we can feel like our power to create is blocked. The chart below shows a summary of Sacral energy in connection with Pisces. Explore the food vibes for today: hydrating, water-based, and orange foods help empower & balance Pisces & Sacral Energy.

This little guy is a Pisces and came up with melting snow with warm water. He was enjoying just watching the water flow and of course playing in the mud of it! The best thing about children is their mind is still so in-tune with exploring, imagination, wonder, creative play, and problem-solving. They can find magic in the littlest things!!! Today, connect with your children or your inner-child and get into the Roots and Rhythms of creative exploration and play. Whether you mess around with watercolors, try making something, write or read a story, or simply go for a walk and explore: there are thousands of possibilities all around! Sometimes, we have to unplug from our responsibilities and stress to create time to tap into the magic; the true reasons for living. This ultimately helps us better perform our responsibilities, because the magic in life is what helps relieve our stress and restore our energy!

Welcome to Pisces Season!!!

The pics in the graphic were pieces I created when I first committed to the Spiritual Awakening of creating Rootin’ for your Life in 2014. These pieces are quite Pisces like in nature with their color and design choices. It was not intentional. However, considering Pisces energy is connected to our wellness center of creativity, the Sacral Chakra, it makes sense. My creativity had often been rushed or blocked, but since I was in a stage of further unlocking my creative vibes - I was tapping into the Pisces / Sacral energy flow. It is also quite symbolic to the mental, physical, and emotional healing journey I was on as Sacral wellness had much to do with that as well. My Sacral Chakra was in great need of healing. Art was an important outlet for such. Art in such a context is not about how skilled, it is about the heart of the matter!

Untitled (1).jpg

When you do the energy work from your heart, it helps the Sacral Chakra align. The bridge opens. Let your heart be the guide for what feels right for you!

Sometimes, the best way to unlock creativity or to do energy work with your vibes is to scrapbook, journal, or create a vision board. These can help you create a visual or a process for how you want your energy to flow. It is also a great organizational tool for working through your energy.

See the chart for the crystal suggestions for Pisces.

Water is a tool for reflection. Pisces people are often very observant and reflect on vibes. They also naturally pick up on vibes. Sometimes, they feel so many possibilities, they can become overwhelmed. They like to get things organized before making decisions or choosing a flow. They are much like this picture; a reflection of energy. Pisces like to mirror what they observe to help them create their flow. Once they find their rhythm, they make it their own. However, sometimes life can be so overwhelming and breath-taking that it can be difficult to determine what’s up, what’s down. Today, meditate on the concept of reflection and how things are not always what they seem. It is also a new moon, which represents deeper vibes, darker/introverted state, and the mark of new beginnings/the next phase. Reflect on what you would like to bring to light this phase? What energy would you like to mirror or reflect?

This Root Detox is not a major workshop or cleanse, it is a simple daily challenge of learning to eat a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. The natural colors of foods is an indication of their nutrient properties. The more naturally colorful our plates are, typically, the more it is balanced in a variety of needed nutrients. Therefore, this challenge is to get you thinking about the color of food and trying something different each day. Many manufactured and processed foods are dyed with attention grabbing colors. If not, then their packages typically are. We often eat with our eyes first. We are looking for certain colors because of the messages in our body of what we need. Therefore, we may pick a product or a package because we were drawn to a specific color. Those who do not depend on sight, may depend on smell, taste, or learned habits. The purpose of this detox is to cleanse our plates of manufactured colors and processed dyes. Choose naturally colorful, fresh food. Create a healthy recipe from it or eat it as is. Share your journey with us. Tag us in your food pics @rootinforyourlife on IG!
