All of these ladies knew when to take life seriously, and when to let it go and have a good time. All of these ladies taught us about the power of true friendship; the ones who are not only there for the good times, but are by your side in the darkest times. Ironically, as I am typing this binge watching the Golden Girls they are binge watching an I Love Lucy Marathon in this episode (that just started as I started typing this). The power of synchronicity from the little things to the biggest things is amazing! Today, let the ones who are there for the laughs and the struggles know how much they matter.

What is your favorite night in? Whether a family night, date night, or self-care night, what is your ideal night? What is your favorite meal and favorite things to do?

Today’s word is: Clarity !

Share your crystal, self-care, or coffee-loving recipes and rituals that help you achieve clarity.

Today’s meditation focuses on motivation. Meditation’s purpose is based on our intentions. Sometimes we may seek meditation to help us calm down or to help us connect to nature. Meditation can be a great tool for enhancing self-motivation. Gaining insight and benefits from meditation depends on one’s ability to be fully present in a moment; it requires self (intrinsic) motivation and reliability. If you struggle with meditation, then it may be because you have not found the method that works for you, but it could be deeper questions and struggle with self to dig into and resolve. If you are unable to be fully present with spending time with yourself in meditation, then it is possible you are not happy with your self in some way and that can be very difficult to face. However, it is also very normal, we all struggle with things that can make us want to disconnect from our own state of being, but it will not get better until we dig deep, face it, root through, and do the work to improve our garden of mind, body, and soul. The more we are able to do this, the more our motivation will grow. Motivation blooms from empowerment.

The gut really is its own mind. The gut houses naturally intelligent cells and bacteria that know what they need to best function. When they are mistreated they react by sending out warnings and alerts, but are we listening? The more we ignore these signals, then the more our body begins to malfunction or develop disorders. There are many factors out of our control; genetic predispositions, etc. However, the food and environmental products we choose can make a major difference. Our body is a science lab with enriching or destructive / dangerous chemical reactions. The chemicals we choose to put in our body (food, etc.) should be naturally good. Think about the pipes in our sink, there are things like grease and etc that we do not pour down the pipes, because of toxicity and clogs, so why would we put this in our body when it has the same reactions; toxicity and clogs ?

Today’s food lesson is simply food for thought. When you are working on making better food choices, think of the pipes in your sink and body. What makes them feel open, strong, healthy, and clean? Are you listening to what your gut is really telling you?

Hours of Power is a #dailyroots weekly feature. It is important to have exercise routines that challenge you, but it is also important to get doses of movement in throughout the day. Hours of Power is something my husband and I started doing on our own many moons ago. Whether at work, on the go, or at home as much as we could every hour on the hour we would hydrate and get a 2-5 minute activity in; squats, push-ups, jumping-jacks, or lunges, etc. It has evolved into even more rituals to keep us energized throughout the day. In my later sessions, I will discuss how to create plans according to your lifestyle needs and goals, but today, we are going to focus on STEP 1. Print out the graphic above or doodle your own in a planner. Step 1 is to figure out your time goals for each Hours of Power Session. We often talk about the power of intentions. Before we commit to our goals, we must first establish our intentions. Therefore, before starting rituals and routines, I want you to get use to acknowledging the times and intentions you have chosen. Start simple! Whenever it is time to take an Hours of Power Break, I want you to simply stand, get a glass of water, hydrate, and do a simple movement to acknowledge the time; a 2 minute walk, a few stretches, etc. The purpose of these breaks is to unplug, refocus, and recharge your energy. The more you establish committing to your Hours of Power schedule, the more we can build on the routines & rituals!

Mapping out a person’s Life Blue-print is my method for helping people get to the roots and rhythms of their life flow. It is but one factor in the wellness spectrum, but it can be a useful guide for helping us understand the alignments of the nature within. Once I map it out, I can better understand the possibilities of a person’s traits and physiology of wellness without having to get into the personal details of their life. This information can help me provide insight for nutrition, exercise, environmental needs, meditation and learning styles, and more.

In the Blueprint I map out Chakra Wellness and physiology based on a person’s sun sign, moon sign, ascending sign, and life path number. Where the sun, moon, and constellation in the horizon were when someone is born can be indicators of certain rhythms and patterns in nature. These patterns are linked to Chakra Wellness and life flow. Numbers are also a very significant system of life flow and can also be linked to patterns and rhythms. You may be surprised how much you can learn about yourself by studying the roots and rhythms of the stars.

Cancer is the zodiac sign of mood and emotion. With the full moon in Cancer soon approaching, you may be feeling all the feels or the mood may be steadily shifting. Try not to shy away or fear this. We have often been taught to push away our emotions, but emotions are a natural part of who we are. With the moon, the ruler of emotions, and Cancer, the zodiac sign of emotions together in full force, this is an opportunity to get in touch with your emotions and the mood in the air. When we are in tune with alignments like this, it is the method of awakening to the natural Roots and Rhythms in the flow of the Earth and Universe. Cancer is a water sign, so you may consider being close to water, meditating in the shower, taking a bath, staying hydrated, etc. Get in the #mood! Use the chart below to learn more about Cancer vibes!

A lunar eclipse symbolizes closure, something coming to an end, the end of a major cycle or chapter of life, but like the old saying: “when one door closes, another opens”. Life comes full circle and starts again, like in the spiral of life, we often talk about. Things come to an end to renew and bloom again; much like the seasons. Therefore, this may be a time in your life, where you are saying goodbye to parts of yourself / life flow, but welcoming new things into your life. For the timing of this particular Cancer Full Moon and Lunar eclipse to be in January, what synchronicity! January is in winter, the season in which things come to an end or hibernate to renew. January is also the start of a new year, where we are letting go of the past and setting our intentions for the future. With the moon and lunar eclipse occurring in the Cancer zodiac sign, this is an important opportunity and alignment for emotional closure and healing. You may be going through some major life transitions, but this is ultimately a time for major breakthroughs. It is a time for letting go of the heavy past and setting intentions for a lighter and brighter future! Be sure to check out the chart and vibes from yesterday and use the chart to help you channel the Cancer energy through nutrition, exercise, crystals, and oils to help you set the mood for this flow.

See the chart in the prior posts to see the Crystals for Cancer energy. The Full Moon is a great time to charge your crystals in the moon light and connect with the vibes. Quartz, Amethyst, and Moonstone are also especially important crystals with the lunar eclipse occurring. Quartz can help channel and protect all the vibes. Amethyst can strengthen insight and intuition. Moonstone often represents new beginnings and can help soothe emotional instability during life transitions.

Today’s #morningmeditation is an intro to working with Reiki. I am a certified Reiki Healer for animals and people. I personally found this to be life-changing to help me manage physical and emotional pain in my own life. It was exactly what I needed to further connect with my mind, body, and soul. I would like to share these insights and services with you. Let’s start simple! For today’s meditation and intro to Reiki, I want you to think about the power of touch; the power of our hands. Our hands are important part to human connection, body language, survival, and focusing our energy. Think of all the ways hands are symbolic to body, mind, and spirit; how we connect our world within to the world all around. Our hands are the main resource when applying and connecting with Reiki energy. Today, simply reflect on the power of touch and maybe take a little time to bring your hands together, close your eyes, and focus on what you feel.

Today’s food for thought is how food is important to the relationship with Reiki. To be more in tune with the flow of energy, it is important to be mindful of what you are eating, where it came from, how it was prepared, and how it nourishes your body. Food can weigh us down, clutter our systems, pollute our energy, or even be harmful to the sources they came from and to us. These consequences do not just magically disappear. We may not be able to directly see what is happening to the sources of food or what it does to us within our body, but it can be damaging to our mind, body, energy, and Mother Earth; our world within and our world all around. Therefore, when preparing for Reiki practices, we discuss the importance of a food relationship. Like all relationships, your food relationship needs attention, effort, care, love, patience, and mindfulness. Healthy relationships help create a healthy energy flow. Once you establish a healthier relationship with your food habits, this can help you become more in tune with the flow of the energy in your world within and all around. This will help you discover more benefits with Reiki practices, including applying your Reiki practices to preparing your meals and understanding what your body needs and does not need.

I like to practice Reiki while running. It helps with sustaining my energy flow, keeping pace, calming my heart-rate, channeling my breathing, soothing the pain, and more. I like to do a Reiki session before and after the run, but I have a few techniques I do while running to help keep the flow. Today, instead of an activity, I want you to think about how mindset and rituals (habits, practices, things you do to connect with your energy) can contribute to your physical wellness. How does your mindset empower your physical abilities and endurance? How can energy rituals help you channel and charge your energy flow? Think about it and stay tuned for next month when I share my Reiki and Running techniques and practices.

Core Care: You cannot change the past. You cannot control the future. You can be fully present in each moment today. Core Care is about making positive choices in the moment. This Reiki Principle is a great one to live by. Practice this each day. The more you do, the more it will naturally become a part of you.

When you keep dreams alive in your heart and do the work day in and day out to manifest them, they can come true. We had been on a very long, challenging journey of trying to conceive, but most importantly we both wanted to be better versions of ourselves before doing so. We spent meaning years working on breaking bloodline traumas and curses, healing the mind, body, and spirit from our own personal traumas, creating a healthier mind, body, and soul to feel worthy and fully ready for bringing a life into this world. We were patient with the universe and ourselves in this long, challenging process, but we kept the dream alive in our heart. Reiki was one of our many practices that helped us manifest this dream.

Whether you suffer from anxiety or experience bouts of overwhelming stress, you may know what it feels like to completely lose control of your breath. It can even feel like you are being held underwater or simply gasping for air. It can cause panic and pain. Reiki practices are important for helping with breath-work and having preventative protocols in place. Preventative care and protocols can help you have a method for managing the stress and anxiety before it completely takes control. (side note: just looked at the clock while writing this, it’s 11:11!!!) Life will always be chaotic, but Reiki can help you Calm the Sea Within!

Life can often feel out of our control, but you OWN your feelings. What you feel and why is completely your own perception, your own process, your own emotion, and your reasoning. It is 100% yours. Sure, there are many roots that contribute to why we may feel and process things the way we do, but the common factor in every equation is: you. You are the core of your thoughts, feelings, actions, and reactions. Your thoughts and feelings translate through your actions and reactions whether it is a conscious decision or not. Today’s #morningmeditation is to reflect on how emotion is a mental state that can become physical energy. Our physical energy has roots. Those roots grow from our emotional well-being. How do your emotions shape who you are in your daily life? How do they contribute to your habits? How did they create you automatic actions and reactions? We often develop automatic responses based on things we have experienced in life. Example: Someone may be naturally more defensive or aggressive. These things may seem like permanent patterns of who someone is, but roots can be restored. However, it takes a lot of energy work and a lot of gardening. Today, the energy work is to simply reflect on these thoughts.
