Listening to the calls of the wild is some of the hardest, but most joyous work. Many may think of living “wild” as completely losing control. In some cases, this is true. Human nature is wild. We are part of this wild world. Learning how to intuitively listen to those rhythms and nurture that flow within us in conscious, healthy ways requires #dailyrootsandrituals.
A root cause in nearly every problem of life is energy not being expressed in the ways it needs to be. It is often the result of things being over-controlled, forced, and the continuation of trying to operate through unrealistic expectations vs being mindful of the flow within and all around. We are our best selves as humans when we are able to create the art of living; sharing meals, stories, music, celebrating nature, honoring our authentic journeys and gifts, crafting things, reading, dancing, and learning through the natural rhythms and flows of life; all the moments that spark joy. When storms arise, this is when we should come together the most to protect and create these roots of life, not just for our worlds, but the world as a whole. Yes, it is much to ask. Yes, everyone needs to do their part, but sometimes we are unable to see the full picture. We often focus on all the surface things vs all that is below, beyond, and in between. Peace comes from learning how to nurture the flow of inner peace. These vibes ripple out into the currents. It will take time for the effects to occur. There is still so much work to do, especially with the literal and metaphorical storms of this world, but I am not giving up on humanity. We have made it through many things on this Earth. There is still much healing and learning to do, but I know there are pockets of good in this world. I know we can keep doing the work to heal and create. I know there are many odds to overcome; to #rootandrise through, but I believe we can create a wild, rooted world where we are free to dance, share our stories, cook delicious, nourishing meals, while harmonizing with one another through nature, music, and the art of living. Sometimes, these visions feel so far away. As much as I wish I could wave a wand to heal the world at times, I know that is not how it works. There are times I was wishing it for myself as well in some of the darkest experiences, chapters, but even in those moments, I knew the only way through was to dig deep, root through, and in time, find a way to rise. I know all I can do is this work and reach out in the ways I can. May it plant the seeds, create the steppingstones, and offer the resources to help us all Root, Love, Grow™ a little more each day in the ways we can. May we Write our Story in Everything we Do while Holding Space for… (fill in the blank) !
I have a vision for branding and “professional” vibes for all of Rootin’s content. I always think I am going to pursue styling pictures or getting professional pictures done, but I always end up still choosing the “ordinary”, everyday pictures. However, I personally feel they are not “ordinary” and they are more relative to my message of Rootin’ for your Life and the Wild Rooted Flow, it’s about presence in the process, experiences over expectations, embracing the flow of the moments, deep-rooted, intuitive connections, and #messesandmemories! It’s about showing up where you are, right now, in all the ways you can to write a magnificent story of life. Create an art of living and a love for experiencing and protecting the beauty of this Earth. This we all know is easier said than done, but we can try, moment by moment, piece by piece, day by day. Everything is a relationship, an energy transaction.
Hi, thanks for exploring the Wild Rooted Flow of Rootin’ for your Life. If you have not read my bio yet, I am Lisa, the creator, guide, one-woman operation, and medium of Rootin’. This vision and the dedication to continuing to meet the calling of this as my purpose and path as it went through many twists and turns has lived in my journals and blueprints for 22+ years. Being a medium is a strange thing, a very strong force of nature that took so much of my life and lessons to learn how to dance with it as a blessing instead of a curse. For most of my life, I rooted my way through the mainstream world, creating a life sometimes by scraping all the pieces I could together. I would then stay up all hours of the night, dancing and rooting through and answering all the calls of the wild-rooted elements of life and beyond. My husband is also a strong, wild-rooted medium. After stretching ourselves through so many lifetimes and trying to carry so many worlds, we got to a place in time where we could no longer function at such a pace in the ways we were. We had to learn how to uproot, root by root, piece by piece and my son, 2, came up with a blog post to describe what I mean by all of this: The Hike. It is rare I work when we are together. Most of the time, I am fully present with him. One day during lunch, my computer was still out on this page. He asked what it was. I explained. I said, “would you like to help me write a blog post?” He said, “yes, what is a blog post?” I explained and said, “what would you write about?” I opened the page to create a draft to start typing his story of ideas. I said, “do you have a title, something you would like to call your post?” He said, “Hmmmm… The….. Hike???” (He spoke it as a question, seeking reassurance for his idea). I, of course, was flabbergasted with his sweet, mindful, creative, emotionally intelligent, little, big, growing mind. I share this story on the main page of this blog, not to brag, because every child and person has many gifts of life to bring to the table of creating a beautiful world. I share this story because it is something I did not know if I would ever have in my life but saw it so vividly in my dreams for so long. Aligning with all those visions were root essentials for helping create a life in which these possibilities of my family, of Rootin’ to come to be. Sometimes, the choices were hard, in dark chapters, and came with so much loss, but in the nature and necessity of creating change and space to meet the moments through constructive, peaceful resolutions. Sometimes, the choices flowed from the visions and connections with a magical synchronicity of ease and enlightenment. His blog post is the essence of all that the Wild-Rooted Flow is. My patterns and themes of life have always connected me to the purpose of family wellness, self-work, relationship work, community work, and childhood development. The hike of manifesting it all took me to places and on paths I never quite imagined, but many of them, I also knew deep within my gut.
