CHAKRAS

Root & FLow

This graphic (above) is one of the first I created when I came up with the Root Love Grow™ mantra. As I was creating content and doing my own energy work, I realized how the Chakras aligned with the principles of nature and the flow of all energy. Learn more in the blog posts.

Thoughts:

Addressing the Chakras helps to get directly to the roots and power of your life flow. Our whole health (minds, bodies, & souls) collect mass amounts of energy; everything is connected and flowing to us, through us, and all around us. It can easily become webs of chaos. Our systems can become overloaded and cluttered with all we have collected. This can make it difficult to know exactly what factors are impacting our life flow. This can especially be hard when matters are of a private or sensitive issue.

Chakra work is to clean out stored clutter blocking our energy, fine-tune, and re-align our flow. I like to think of each Chakra with its own door and house; each are in need of opening, walking into it, doing a daily assessment and cleaning. When we do not do this, the door stays closed, but all the unknown cracks and windows are open - still letting “clutter” in. If we do not get in there and clean, it will over-flow or become so decomposed that components of each house begin to malfunction. Also, the less time we spend in Chakra work, the harder it gets to open the door and deal with it all. Think of an old house that has been shut-up for awhile: a. the door may be jammed, and b. walking in - you notice the air quality, and etc. are in need of care.

These are doors to our deepest sources of power and energy. Chakras are our 7 Energy centers. Energy is raw; natural. Understanding the vibes of Energy is to understand the most honest form of all life. Chakras are the core of understanding our Inner Power Blueprint. They can help us explore and discover more about our health, understand intentions and character, heal deep energy wounds, create and restore life balance, and to feel aligned with the world within and all around. The Chakras are a fundamental factor in all of our content in Rootin' for your Life.

Note: This content is based on the study and practice of numerous sources throughout time. I tapped into this ancient knowledge in the process of my awakening, and from there I spent many years piecing together and cross-referencing if what I had "dreamed up" had real roots. When I opened the door, I discovered the world these vibes came from and were leading me back to. Bottom line: These are not original concepts: they are deeply rooted into human history. However, my personal experience and development of these concepts into my authentic content is a unique flow of the Rootin' Journey. A few quick thoughts on how to do Chakra Work (Energy Work):

As I always say: “things take time to take root”. Discovering and developing your energy work practices will require time and dedication, but the more you do, the more it will become a natural part of your daily life. The root work is always the hardest and requires the most care because it is the early stages of creating or transforming your life flow. In such a process it takes time to discover and develop the methods that best align with your lifestyle. Energy work can become a natural part of routines and rituals you already do in your life; cooking, exercising, showering, journaling, meditation/prayer, family time, and more. You may just need to set a few more intentions and methods of understanding how energy and chakras can enhance these moments and connections. You may be interested in adding on new practices; different styles of yoga, reiki energy work, or creating art. You may need to explore to get a sense of what you feel called to; what is speaking to your soul.

Personally, chakras and energy work are a part of everything I do. Even before this became my profession it was deeply rooted into my life; before I even knew the terminology or fully understood the flow. As an Empath I could always hear and see things that others could not. I thought I was just a weirdo or that it was all “in my head”. After getting a BA in health and wellness + further developing my holistic journey and certifications, the more I came to terms with these things were not just my imagination. Chakras have been a valuable resource to help me cope and heal through many things. Understanding the flow of this energy helps me to check in with the vibes of each day to help me intuitively know which areas I need to focus on. For example: if I am craving a certain color of food, it could be an indication of certain energy I need to nurture and restore. It could be the actual vitamins and minerals I need for the physical functions connected to that body center of energy or it could be the color speaking to my soul to pay attention to that energy center. The color of food is determined by the energy; vitamins and minerals present. I even like to coordinate the colors of my outfits based on the chakras I am feeling strongly connected to or in the process of opening or healing. There are so many ways to incorporate the vibes into everything you do. I will elaborate on my personal journey of empath experiences and energy work in blog posts, but I hope this helps shed a little light on how Chakras can be beneficial to your life. In conclusion, it is ultimately about learning how to connect and focus your energy and tune into what your mind, body, soul, or the world around you is trying to tell you. Little steps lead to bigger steps. This is not a cure or medical advice or a message for trying to take over or push away beliefs; it is simply one more resource in the toolbox or one piece to the puzzle of life.

Some quick things to help you start exploring how to do a little more energy work in your life:

  1. Go for a walk. Unplug and be fully present with nature. Try to notice things you may have never noticed before all around you. Don’t force it or get too attached to expectations or thoughts; try to just be open and allow it all to flow. There are so many ways to do energy work on a walk. We will be sharing a lot of activities in the wild rooted curriculum (blog and workshops). Here is a simple one to try:

On your walk try to notice life in full color all around you; the colors of the rainbow, the chakra hues, the vibrant energy properties are all around us. In different seasons, it may be harder to find, notice, or feel, but it is there. Connecting with this energy is not just about connecting with our eyes. Certain conditions can cause perceiving life through our eyes challenging. Being able to see color is a gift I try not to take for granted, it is a beautiful thing, but energy is deeper than that. I am blessed with sight, but I struggle with painful migraines, which can sometimes be a challenge in certain lights and sensory exposures. No matter how you are able to perceive the world around you, this activity is possible. It is ultimately about taking a little more time to notice the world and how things are connected. We expand on this activity in workshops, but for now I encourage you to dedicate a little more time to walking and noticing things you may have not noticed before. What did you discover? How do you feel connected to these things? Did certain colors or feelings stand out to you? Did seeing or feeling something trigger a reaction in your mind, body, or soul or a certain “energy center” ?

2. Food is essential for survival. Being conscious of what and how we eat has a lot to do with the availability of resources and our relationship with energy. Availability of resources not only includes accessibility to food, but knowledge of nutrition and energy. There are many ways you can use Chakras to plan meals and many ways you can use food as a source to better understand your energy. A reaction to certain foods and cravings are clues of energy we need to pay attention to in the mind, body, and/or soul. This is a main feature in our workshops, but for now I just wanted to plant this seed of thought. If you have a certain reaction to food or before you indulge a craving, I want you to take a moment to take a little more note of what it may be linked to. I also encourage you to think about your menu in connection to the vibrancy of life in full color. The color of food is determined by the vitamins, minerals, and energy properties.
